Mid week update - remember to read the school newsletter!!

Cross Country
Last Thursday, 25 of our Athletes competed in the District Titles. They tried very hard and all our runners finished creditably. We came 3rd.

Special congratulations to the following students who qualified for the Greenbank District team to compete in Met West titles in Ipswich in late May; Callum Frawley.
You are a legend! Well done.

St Bernardine’s Day
Next Wednesday 21 May, we will celebrate the feast day of St Bernardine. On this day, the students are permitted to wear free dress with a gold coin donation, celebrate with a whole school Mass at 9am in Siena, watch and enjoy special arts performance and enjoy a sausage sizzle and ice block.

The Year 7 Enrichment Students Tessellate The Library Wall
At the end of last term, the Year 7 Enrichment students had to step out of their comfort zone and create a design that could be used to decorate the wall of the children’s section of a library after it had been destroyed in the floods (fictional). Their design not only had to be appealing to children but also had to incorporate a tessellating pattern.
Last week, Mr Gambley, Miss Shields and Mrs Cameron judged the students’ completed designs. After many comments about how impressed they were with the students’ designs, the three judges were able to come to an unanimous decision.

Congratulations to Dylan and Cassidy!

Dylan’s design – awarded as the most appealing for the younger children’s section of the library.
Cassidy’s design – awarded as the most appealing for the older children’s section of the library.

 Class Liturgy
We welcome family and friends to come along and celebrate with us. The Eucharistic celebration begins in the church at 9.00am each Wednesday morning. It is important that the parents and friends who come to these celebrations to see their children make the effort to stay for the entire celebration.
The next Year 7 Liturgy is on 9.00am
in the church.
7M will be
hosting the mass with 7G attending.
