Narrative writing continued...

Another outstanding short narrative - well done Dylan!

The Desert
Here I was, standing in the middle of a steaming desert, with only a small amount of water and some food to survive. The weather was so dry I found it hard to breathe and I could barely move. The heat was so bad I began to hallucinate; in the distance I could see a group of men approaching me. All of a sudden I felt myself getting dizzy and all that I could remember was a blur of men coming toward me.
I felt myself waking up and there the men were. They spoke to me and said ‘Who are you?’ in a disturbing manner.
I answer in fear ‘I’m Max, I got lost, I don’t know how I got here but I want to go home.’
‘Well too bad!’ they replied in a hasty tone, ‘You’re in the desert and no one gets out alive!’ The tallest man then pulled out a gun, then BANG! I fell to the ground and felt my eyes closed in a flash. Then suddenly I awoke and I was back in the safety of my bed and thought to myself, phew, it must’ve been a dream, but I’ll never forget of what felt like an eternity in that desert.
