Week 1 Term 4

Hi 7 Greeners,

Term 4 is just around the corner, but before we start, it's time to relax and rejuvenate your batteries.  We hope you have a safe and fun holidays with your family and friends.

Here is a sneak peek at what is coming up next term:

Religious Education - Social Justice (Beliefs In Action)
  • Create a Poster describing a mission as directed by your teacher
  • Watch the movies - Invictus and the Blindside (parental permission required)
Mathematics 
  • Rates
  • Scientific Notation (Prime Numbers)
  • Algebra (basic introduction) (use of associative, commutative and distributive laws to aid mental and written computation)
English - Picture Book Review/Report writing
  • You will be required to write a book review on a selected picture book from our library
  • Spelling activities 
  • Grammar activities
Science - Earth and Space Sciences
  • The relative movements of the Earth, sun and moon (model the rotation and revolution)
  • Why do seasons occur on Earth?
  • Why do phases of the moon occur?
  • What are solar and lunar eclipses?
 Health and Geography
  • Transitioning into high school (various scenarios given)
  • Geography - suggested mapping task from your home to your new high school (answer various questions related to your route)
 A reminder that we are on assembly the first Wednesday back and there is NO SCHOOL ON MONDAY the 6th October.

Have a great break and Miss C and I will see you bright and early on Tuesday the 7th October 2014 for the beginning of TERM 4 - your final primary school Term EVER!!!
